Description
What it is, and how it works
The 3 ml treatment is suitable for larger treatment areas and may be used across the face and neck, or selected areas of the body, depending on your individual concerns and clinical assessment. Common body treatment areas include the décolletage, upper arms, abdomen, hands and knees, where ageing, sun exposure or weight changes may contribute to reduced skin hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality. This treatment is an injectable skin remodelling treatment containing a high concentration of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found throughout the body that attracts and retains water, helping to maintain skin hydration, elasticity and resilience.
Unlike dermal fillers, which contain cross-linked hyaluronic acid to restore volume or provide structural support, this treatment uses non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It is not intended to volumise or reshape the face. Instead, it disperses within the tissues and is gradually broken down by the body's natural metabolic processes.
The primary aim of treatment is to improve skin hydration, skin quality and tissue remodelling. By increasing hydration within the skin and supporting the skin's natural repair processes, treatment may help improve skin texture, elasticity and firmness while reducing the appearance of crepey or ageing skin. As hydration improves, many people notice that their skin appears healthier, smoother and more radiant.
Treatment may be considered for individuals experiencing age-related changes in skin quality of the face and neck. Suitability is determined following a comprehensive consultation, taking into account your skin condition, medical history and treatment goals.
Treatment consists of a series of carefully placed injections into the face and/or neck and usually takes around 20–30 minutes. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection sites is common and generally settles within a few days.
Results develop gradually over several weeks. An initial course consists of two treatment sessions approximately four weeks apart, allowing the skin remodelling process to develop over time. The treatment price includes both appointments within this initial treatment course. Maintenance treatments may be discussed following review, depending on your individual response and clinical assessment.
As with any injectable procedure, there are potential risks and side effects. These will be discussed during your consultation together with the expected benefits, limitations and whether treatment is appropriate for your individual circumstances.
